LOS ANGELES, Aug 25 ― Katherine Heigl is set to return to the small screen in a new legal drama that reunites the star with former “Grey's Anatomy” alumni.
In a reworked pilot for “Doubt,” a series that was passed over but given a second chance with new casting and rewrites, Heigl will play successful defense lawyer Sadie, who gets romantically involved with one of her clients who has been charged of committing a brutal crime, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
Heigl replaces fellow Shondaland alum KaDee Strickland in the lead role, and reunites the star with “Grey's Anatomy” executive producers Tony Phelan and Joan Rater for the new show. ― AFP-Relaxnews
