HONG KONG, Nov 21 — The wait is over for Faye Wong fans.
The Chinese singer has announced that she will be releasing her first album in 12 years.
According to entertainment website, Ettoday.net, the new album will be titled “Getting By” but there’s no official confirmation as to when fans can expect it to drop.
Wong is said to have decided to record a new studio album, after she learned of a diehard fan who collected all of the songs that Wong had previously recorded but never released, and compiled them into a so-called “10th Cantonese album.”
The singer has kept a low profile since becoming a mum in 2006.
Her last studio album was in 2003, and since then, she has only recorded the occasional song for movie scores or charity.
