LOS ANGELES, June 9 ― He’s sought his revenge against Bart Simpson for the last 25 years, but now Sideshow Bob’s dreams will finally come true.
“The Simpsons” producers have confirmed the fiery redhead will return for the show’s annual Halloween episode, along with the man behind the maniac, Kelsey Grammer.
“You’re going to see Sideshow Bob do something he’s wanted to do for a very long time,” executive producer Al Jean told Entertainment Weekly.
Sideshow Bob, who has been a “Simpsons” nemesis since a 1990 episode in which his plot to frame Krusty the Clown for robbery was exposed by Bart. Sideshow Bob swore revenge, and has been pretty much been trying to kill the boy ever since.
It’s not known how the “execution” will take place, but Entertainment Weekly reports once the deadly deed is done, Bob “won’t know what to do with himself after his life’s mission is accomplished”.
Since the “Treehouse of Horror” episodes generally don't share the same continuity as the rest of the “Simpsons” universe, you can expect to see Bart no worse for the wear in future episodes.
