NEW YORK, Aug 2 — The cable network has unveiled the first look at its new zombie series slated to premiere this fall.
Created by Karl Schaefer (“Eureka,” “The Dead Zone”), “Z Nation” revolves around a dangerous road trip that is humanity’s only hope for survival.

Consisting of 13 episodes, the drama takes place in the US three years after the outbreak of a zombie epidemic that is still raging. After finding a man with immunity to the virus, a group of survivors take on the responsibility of getting him from New York to California, the location of the only laboratory capable of making a vaccine from his blood. But the man with the potential to save the human race is hiding a terrible secret.
A direct rival to AMC’s “The Walking Dead,” “Z Nation” features Harold Perrineau, Tom Everett Scott, DJ Qualls, Michael Welch, Kellita Smith, Anastasia Baranova, Russel Hodgkingson and Keith Allan.
The series premieres in September, although the exact date is yet to be announced. — AFP-Relaxnews
