SAN DIEGO, July 30 — George Miller has announced that the script has already been written for a follow-up to his new apocalyptic action movie, which is due to bow in May 2015.
With its mind-blowing trailer and a series of character-focused posters, “Mad Max: Fury Road” emerged as one of the most talked about films at Comic-Con. While the reboot of the cult movie franchise is not due out until next year, the director revealed that the groundwork is already in place for a second and possibly even a third movie.
“In order to tell this story, we came up with two others,” said Miller at a press conference. “We’ve written the screenplay to one and the novelization of another — but it’s a very rough novel. We kept working on them while we were working on other things.”

Several sources speculate that the second feature could be “Furiosa,” which would focus on the character played by Charlize Theron. The original plan was to film “Furiosa” and “Fury Road” at the same time and to release the two movies back to back, but Warner Bros ultimately decided to focus entirely on the first production before lensing the sequel.
As a result, after the release of “Mad Max: Fury Road” on May 15, 2015 (USA), fans will have to wait at least a year or two before a potential sequel. — AFP/Relaxnews
