Google’s Cardboard VR viewer now available in Canada, Europe

PARIS, May 11 — Canadians and some Europeans will now be able to buy the Google Cardboard virtual-reality viewer from Google Play.

Previously unavailable in Canada, the UK, Germany and France, Google has now launched sales in those countries. Users attach their smartphones to the cardboard holder for the unit to access 360-degree video, photo and virtual-reality content available on Google Play and on YouTube.

Google Cardboard goes for 20 Canadian dollars, £15 (RM87) in the UK and €20 in France and Germany. And in these markets, Cardboard is the only VR viewer available in Google Play. — AFP-Relaxnews
