LONDON, June 17 —British actor Sam Beazley, who played Professor Everard in 2007’s Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, has died at the age of 101.
According to a tribute which appeared in London newspaper The Times, Beazley passed away in his sleep on June 12, with a funeral to be held for the actor and artist on June 21, at Mortlake Crematorium.
Beazley, who was born in Kensington, had a long and distinguished theatre career before he turned to the screen, and had also since starred in films such as 2004’s Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason and Johnny English (2003), as well as some of the most-watched TV shows in Britain, including Pride and Prejudice and Little Britain (via Deadline).
He had played the role of Professor Everard in the fifth instalment of the widely popular Harry Potter film franchise. — AFP-Relaxnews
