LOS ANGELES, March 7 — The new Ghost in the Shell movie will be out in just a few weeks and Steve Aoki has remixed the theme song from the cult 1995 anime movie.
Aoki released the remix titled “Reawakening” on his Facebook page and the clip also shows off more footage from the film.
Based on the famous Japanese manga comic Ghost in the Shell, the film follows Major (played by Scarlett Johansson), a special ops and one-of-a-kind human-cyborg hybrid who leads the elite task force Section 9.
The task force fights cybercriminals in a dark, biotech future where the line between computers and humans is marred.
Directed by Rupert Sanders, the film also stars Michael Pitt, Juliette Binoche, Takeshi Kitano, Rila Fukushima, Kaori Momoi, Chin Han, Danusia Samal, Pilou Asbæk, and Yutaka Izumihara.
Ghost in the Shell is set for release on March 31.
