LOS ANGELES, Sept 26 — The movie industry utilises makeup not just to hide imperfections and beautify actors, but also to create seemingly impossible characters for the screen.

CineFix highlights their choice for the top 10 makeup transformations of all time, bringing to light movie magic from both classics like ‘Frankenstein’, ‘The Elephant Man’ and ‘Tootsie’, to more modern movies like ‘Planet of the Apes’ and the original ‘X-Men’.
