KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 14 — The King of Bollywood paid Malaysia a compliment today when he likened the country to home.
Datuk Shah Rukh Khan told reporters at a press conference here today he is thrilled to be back in Malaysia once again.
Speaking at the “Temptation Reloaded” press conference at the Ritz Carlton this afternoon, the Bollywood heartthrob said, “It’s always a sense of pride for me whenever I come to Malaysia. I often feel that I have never left home in fact. It’s a great feeling to be back to such lovely people once again.”
Said to be the biggest Bollywood concert production, “Temptation Reloaded” offers all the music, love and drama of the Bollywood silver screen together with Shah Rukh Khan’s beautiful leading ladies Madhuri Dixit and Rani Mukherji on February 15 at Stadium Merdeka.
The concert is in conjunction with the ongoing Visit Malaysia Year 2014 celebrations. Shah Rukh Khan said it was his “duty” to promote the country as a tourism destination.
“Getting people to (visit) this country is my job. I always mention how the people have been very kind, ever since I first came to Malaysia 14 years ago.
“I’m also thrilled to be united once again with the lovely Madhuri Dixit, who is my favourite co-star,” he added.
Madhuri Dixit, who’s visiting Malaysia for the very first time, said, “Everything is so beautiful here, even the people are as beautiful as the country.” She spent the last two nights in Penang.
When asked about his Valentine’s Day plans, Datuk Shah Rukh said, “I’m known as the Baadshah (King) of Romance, so I can flirt with the ladies. I will do anything for you today and if I don’t, who will.”
The Malaysian franchise of the “Temptation Reloaded” concert is the second edition of the world famous Temptations Tour, with Datuk Shah Rukh Khan as the main star.
The three hour concert will also include performances by Indian rapper Yo-yo Honey Singh and upcoming stars Arijit Singh and Meiyang Chang.
