NEW YORK, April 8 — A sequel is on the way for UK author and journalist Allison Pearson's I Don't Know How She Does It, which was made into a movie starring Sarah Jessica Parker.
Pearson's 2002 novel revolved around the character of Kate Reddy, who struggled to balance career and family. The film adaptation was released in 2011, starring Parker as Reddy.
In the follow-up, reports The Bookseller, the character is nearing 50 and, according to publisher HarperCollins: “Reddy will speak to and for a generation of women struggling to stay youthful and relevant in a society and a workplace where it seems older men acquire gravitas and older women acquire muffin tops and a P45.”
Pearson's sequel is to be published in fall 2016. — AFP-Relaxnews
