BOSTON, Sept 13 — After the success of the “Big Hero 6” film it’s no wonder that companion robots would be a popular concept. The Indigogo campaign for adorable robot “Buddy” has exceeded its goal by nearly six times.
The robot’s creators claim that Buddy would not just be a cute robot companion but could pick up your calls, monitor your house when you are away and even turn off the lights to save on your power bill.
Unfortunately the campaign has already closed so if you’ve been hankering for a Buddy-like robot of your own you’re out of luck. Maybe once the robot goes into mass production, you’ll have a chance.
