LOS ANGELES, Aug 1 — Formerly known under the code name of “Comet,” the next release from the medieval stealth franchise for last-generation consoles could be called “Assassin's Creed Rogue,” according to the information leaked by a Swiss retailer.
While “Assassin's Creed: Unity” is scheduled to launch on October 28 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Ubisoft has kept quiet on its next release for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Neither the name nor the release date of this potential new game has been announced.
Recently, however, the Swiss retailer World of Games briefly listed a new title called “Assassin's Creed Rogue,” with a release date, like the new episode for PS4 and Xbox One, set for October 28.
Whether revealed due to a programming glitch, a well-orchestrated marketing stunt or a mere hoax, the information should be confirmed or denied at Gamescom 2014, which takes place August 13-17 in Cologne, Germany. — AFP-Relaxnews
