LOS ANGELES, Jan 11 — All Mariah Carey wanted on New Year’s Eve was some tea and the superstar has poked fun at that meme moment with a new merchandise line.
The meme went viral after Mimi requested for hot tea at her recent New Year’s Eve performance on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest where she told viewers” “I just want to take a sip of tea if they’ll let me — they told me there would be tea”.
Carey later posted a snap on Instagram of herself sipping some tea with the caption: “Found my tea!”
Carey took to Instagram to announce to fans that she would be cashing in on the funny remark by releasing a line of tea-related items that includes three T-shirts and a mug.
“#Lambily, you asked for it! Here are some tea-shirts for you!” she captioned along with images of the collection that includes T-shirts that read “I was told there would be tea!” and “#FoundMyTea”.
The shirts are priced at US$30 (RM120), while the mug is US$20.
