LOS ANGELES, June 30 — Broadway dream team Rodgers and Hammerstein are set to become the subject of a new biography which will be released in 2018.
The book is being timed to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the pair's first collaboration on “Oklahoma!” The Telegraph reports.
The biography will be written by Todd S. Purdum, with the help of Rodgers and Hammerstein's publishing team.
The duo's impressive body of work includes classic musicals and films such as “South Pacific”, “Pipe Dream”, “The King and I” and “The Sound of Music”. Over the decades their productions have won a Pulitzer Prize, 34 Tony awards, 15 Oscars and two Grammys. — AFP-Relaxnews
