KUALA LUMPUR, March 10 — A security guard pleaded not guilty at the Ampang Magistrate’s Court here today to a charge of having been in possession of a bullet, two years ago.
M. Davin Joshi Nathan, 33, was accused of being in possession of a .38 SPL SME bullet at a construction site behind Tesco Ampang here at 5pm on July 20, 2015.
He was charged under Section 8(a) of the Firearms Act 1960 and is liable to be jailed up to seven years of fined not more than RM10,000 or both, if convicted.
Magistrate Haslinda A. Raof set bail at RM6,000 in one surety and set April 20 for re-mention.
Deputy public prosecutor Raihanah Abdul Razak appeared for the prosecution while the accused was represented by counsel K. Arivom Namasivaya. — Bernama
