TOKYO, Aug 25 — You can almost hear it: “Oops, just got stuck in a bush. Oh no! There’s a human. Quick, play it cool.”

This Shiba Inu dog was photographed on August 17 by Twitter user @Yamamochi223, who spotted the animal seemingly caught in a bit of a predicament, and added the simple caption, “It’s stuck!”

It appears that the dog had lodged itself in a garden bush overlooking a fairly steep drop from a wall on to the pavement.

Despite his rather precarious position, the dog looked happy and relaxed.

Although the images have since been deleted from Twitter, it hasn’t stopped them from being widely shared, chalking up 12,000 likes and being retweeted 11,000 times.

Adoring fans have praised the dog for remaining bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, despite looking like he wasn’t going anywhere, anytime soon.

Shiba Inus are a popular breed of dog distinct to Japan, and one of the few ancient breeds once used for hunting that are still in existence today.

Known for their independent and proud nature, their name translates to ‘brushwood dog’ — which seems rather apt in this case.
