KUALA LUMPUR, June 27 — A survey conducted recently found that 97 per cent of Malaysian parents said they make an effort to drive safely when children are in the car.
With these results in mind, Maxis and Waze have rolled out an initiative that aims to encourage safe on-road behaviour, just in time for the balik kampung exodus next month during the Raya holidays.
Safe Mode Kids is a world’s first that turns children’s voices into navigational prompts.
Phrases familiar to Waze users have been jazzed up in an adorable way, such as “All set. Don’t forget your seat belt”, “Re-routing. Eyes on the road!” and “Accident reported ahead. Please be careful, OK?”
To download the Safe Mode Kids voice pack on Waze:
1. Download/open Waze
2. Select Settings
