AIGLUN (France), May 29 — Slacklining is not a sport for the faint-hearted, as proven by Nathan Paulin and Danny Menšík when they set a world record with the longest highline walk in the world.
Slackliners walk or balance between a suspended length of flat webbing that is tethered to two anchoring points and is similar to slack rope walking and tightrope walking.
In this case, the two points were anchored on two different mountains in France, a distance of 1 kilometre.
Highliner and balance athlete Paulin already held the record for the longest highline walk in the world, but he just upped the game by beating his own record, along with Menšík, on April 19 in Aiglun, France.
The scenic view does not detract from the jaw-dropping drop to the valley below, so unless you’re a professional, do not try this at home.
