SAN FRANCISCO, Feb 18 — Marrying the “swipe right” interactions of popular dating apps with the decisions facing a medieval king, Reigns has won Google’s 2017 Indie Games Contest, with The Battle of Polytopia and Causality as runners up.
Android, iOS, and Mac, Linux and PC game Reigns has won the first ever Google Play Indie Games Contest.
Almost 1000 entries had been narrowed to a shortlist of 10 for the final, which was held at London’s Saatchi Gallery on February 16.

Cute empire building strategy The Battle of Polytopia (Android, iOS, and previously known as Super Tribes,) and planet-exploring puzzle game Causality (Android, iOS, Mac, WinPC, Linux) were also commended with runners-up status.
Seven other games made the cut as finalists: Blind Drive, Gladiabots, Happy Hop: Kawaii Jump, Lost In Harmony, Paper Wings, Pinout and Rusty Lake: Roots. — AFP-Relaxnews
