SAN FRANCISCO, Aug 22 — VHS Camcorder is the app that lets you record the world through a mid-80s lens with your iPhone or iPad.
Promising low-quality sound and fuzzy video quality, it was developed by an LA-based post-production shop called Rarevision.
For added effect, you can shake your phone or swipe on the screen while recording to add additional tracking and distortion artefacts, and even turn on a time and date stamp in the lower left corner.
In a final genius touch, you can even spoof the video’s recorded date.
VHS Camcorder is now available in the App Store, with an Android version on its way.
