KUALA LUMPUR, April 10 — Felda United have strengthened their top position in the Premier League with 18 points after defeating Terengganu FC II (TFC II) 2-0 in their sixth league outing at Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah Stadium, Kuala Terengganu, tonight.

In the match, captain Muhd Shukor Adan put the visitors ahead in the 45th minute before Brazilian import, Thiago Augusto Fernandes confirmed Felda United’s victory via a penalty in the 63rd minute.

Meanwhile, Sabah rose two rungs to the second spot in the league after a comfortable 3-1 win over UiTM FC at Likas Stadium in Kota Kinabalu.

The hosts led 1-0 in the 14th minute after their lethal striker, Maxsius Musa was on target before Dao Bakary equalised for UiTM FC in the 36th minute.

Sabri Sahar put Sabah ahead again seven minutes later before South Korean teammate Heo Jae-Nyeong found the net in the 71st minute.

Earlier, UiTM FC player Muhammad Nursalam Zainal Abidin was shown the red card by referee, Khirulazuan Kidam in the 63rd minute after collecting two yellow cards.

Meanwhile, the matches between Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) and Johor Darul Ta’zim II (JDT II) at Shah Alam Stadium and the encounter between Kuantan FA and Penang at Selayang Municipal Stadium ended in goalless draws. — Bernama
