KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 23 — Two Penang players Mohd Faiz Subri and Muhammad Jafri Muhammad Firdaus Chew are ready to consider offers from any local teams next season.
For Mohd Faiz who was the winner of 2016 Fifa Puskas award, his focus now is to assist Penang defeat Selangor in the Super League at home on Oct 28.
“I am not sure whether to stay or leave Penang as my contract will be ending next month but my focus now is to help the team gain a positive result against Selangor.
“I may meet the management on my contract soon, and if there are better offers elsewhere, I will consider,” he told Bernama recently.
Sharing the same feeling is Muhammad Jafri who was prepared to consider offers from other teams if it could help to advance his career.
“My contract with Penang is finishing end of this year and I am not sure of my path for next season.
“If there are teams interested in getting my service, I will consider but of course I will get the views of my family first especially my parents,” said Muhammad Jafri who is a national Under 22 (U-22) squad striker.
Penang have been relegated to Premier League next season after occupying the last spot in the Super League with 12 points from 21 matches. — Bernama
