PETALING JAYA, Feb 9 — Dua Lipa is returning to Malaysia later this year!

Kuala Lumpur is the latest addition to the confident British songstress’ The Self-Titled Tour.

The show in KL on May 3 will be Dua Lipa’s second appearance in Malaysia after playing Good Vibes Festival in Genting Highlands last year.

The pop singer took the charts by storm in 2017 with hit New Rules which went to No. 1 in the UK.

The single, her sixth from her eponymous debut album released in June last year, achieved worldwide popularity.

Her chart-topping status represented a breakthrough for young female artistes in the UK.

Dua Lipa’s single was the first by a solo woman to reach No. 1 in almost two years, a feat that recently earned her five Brit Award nominations, another first for a female artist.

Her sultry vocals and honest lyrics represent a new age of cool and independent womanhood; someone who is in charge of her sexuality and not afraid to sing about it.

She previously gained success with the Martin Garrix collaboration Scared to be Lonely and Blow Your Mind (Mwah) before latest single IDGAF dropped last month.

In Malaysia, she was the third most-streamed female artist of 2017 behind Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez.

Fans on social media couldn’t contain their excitement with the announcement earlier this morning.
