LONDON, Oct 21 — British actor Tom Hiddleston has been confirmed as the newest cast member of Aardman Animation’s upcoming comedy Early Man.

Set at the dawn of time, when prehistoric creatures and woolly mammoths roamed the earth, the film tells the story of hero caveman Dug, who along with sidekick Hognob, unites his tribe against the mighty Bronze Age in a battle to beat them at their own game.

Hiddleston is set to play the bad guy of the prehistoric adventure movie, Lord Nooth. Described as the “ridiculously pompous” governor of a Bronze Age town, Nooth is a money-loving tyrant and rival to Dug, played by Eddie Redmayne.

Directed by Nick Park and filming now in Bristol, it’s the filmmaker’s first feature since Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. — AFP-Relaxnews
