NEW YORK, Aug 9 — The spirit of the Dice Man lives on in Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Hard Luck, in which Greg finds himself out of friends and willing to depend on chance and fortune.
“There’s something wickedly satisfying about putting Greg Heffley under duress, and in the eighth book, Greg suffers a multitude of indignities,” said author Jeff Kinney.
“But this time around he has a secret weapon against the slings and arrows of middle school.”
Eighth in Kinney’s hit series, Hard Luck will be “the biggest book of the year” once it goes on sale on Nov 5, says publisher Abrams Books, which is backing its prediction by making it the largest first printing of the year. – AFP
