COX'S BAZAR (Bangladesh), Oct 16 ― Malaysia will build a field hospital at a cost of RM3.5 million in the refugees camp housing the Rohingya ethnic community here, said Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

The deputy prime minister said the hospital would be built within a month’s time as soon as it was approved by the government of Bangladesh.

“This hospital will have 50 beds. It will be built by the Armed Forces military corps and the Health Ministry,” he said.

He told this to reporters during his visit to Kutupalong Camp, one of the camps housing Rohingya refugees about 35km from here today. ― Bernama
