NIBONG TEBAL, Dec 19 — Penang Umno regards the cooperation between Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) and Pakatan Harapan as difficult to be realised.
Its chairman Datuk Seri Zainal Abidin Osman said the cooperation pact between the parties was far from reality when they each had differing aims and basis of struggle.
The facts are a far cry from what they hope to achieve. PPBM wants to cooperate with PAS but PAS does not want to cooperate with DAP. DAP can cooperate with Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah), but Amanah does not want to cooperate with PAS. PKR, too can work with PPBM.
“This clearly shows their equations are different. If we notice, it is too complicated and confusing as to how the parties can cooperate with one another because their foundations differ,” he said.
He said this to reporters after handing over subsistence allowances to 633 fishermen from the Seberang Perai Area Fishermen’s Association here today. — Bernama
