KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 18 — This festive season, Heineken Malaysia Berhad (formerly Guinness Anchor Berhad) has teamed up with Grab Malaysia to give out 3,000 rides to revellers in the Klang Valley.
This gift of safety that doubles up as a reminder that drinking and driving don’t mix is an extension of HEINEKEN Malaysia’s responsible drinking platform, Drink Sensibly (DS).
“HEINEKEN Malaysia wants its consumers to enjoy quality experiences by planning their nights out responsibly. The festive months of December and January are the times of the year to celebrate with friends and loved ones.
“We are gifting Grab rides as a gesture to remind everyone to leave their car keys at home and cab it or use credible ride-hailing services when they’re out on the town,” said Renuka Indrarajah, Corporate Relations & Legal Director, Heineken Malaysia Berhad.
Grab’s partnership with HEINEKEN Malaysia comes from a mutual aim to ensure party-goers stay safe this festive season.
“Grab is thrilled to partner with HEINEKEN Malaysia to help promote a culture of responsible drinking through ‘Drink Sensibly.’ We believe everyone should have the right to safe transport, whether to visit their friends this festive season or to head home after a night of partying.
“We want to reassure partygoers that they can usher in the new year knowing that Grab will provide them with a comfortable, convenient, affordable and above all, safe transport between celebrations and eventually home,” said Jaygan Fu, Country Head of Grab Malaysia.
The rides worth RM20 each will be for three weeks: December 19 to January 8 between 8pm and 5am.
