KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 26 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak today said his official visit to China later this week will help strengthen the country’s ties with Malaysia.

Saying the relationship between both countries had begun in 1974, Najib said he was committed to seek for new highs by entering into new areas of cooperation with the country.

“This will allow our countries and our peoples to thrive and prosper together.

“To that end, I look forward to my discussions with Excellencies President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang,” he said in a statement.

During his visit there, Najib said Malaysia will be signing new agreements with China and added that the signings would elevate the relationship between both nations.
