Kelantan Immigration Department operation head Tuan Hassan Tuan Abdullah said the foreigners comprised five Myanmar men, three Vietnamese women and two Cambodian women who were without valid travel documents.
“They were believed to be from Klang Valley on their way to the Kelantan-Thai border to return to their respective countries,” he told reporters here today.
He said the five Myanmar men were in a Proton Wira when they were stopped at Kampung Chica Tinggi, near here at 8.30am.
Meanwhile, the five foreign women were travelling in a Honda Jazz and were detained at Kampung Padang Licin here at 9.30 am, he added.
He said the immigrants, aged between 19 and 45, were now held at the Tanah Merah Immigration Depot. — Bernama
