NEW YORK, March 16 — A stroller that can fit under an airplane seat and holds the Guinness record for the world’s smallest folding stroller has hit store shelves for frequent flyer parents and tykes.
It’s called the gb Pockit, and is designed to eliminate one of the many challenges of traveling with kids.
While parents in the next security line over fumble clumsily with latches; collapse the stroller equivalent of an SUV; and try to hoist said SUV-stroller into the X-ray machine while trying to ignore sighs of exasperation from fellow flyers, owners of the gb Pockit can rest assured, knowing their stroller will fold down into the size of a handbag in two steps, causing them one less grief.
The device collapses into a tidy 30 x 18 x 35 cm square and weighs in at 9 lbs (4 kg).
That also translates to being able to board the plane with the stroller and storing it under the seat or overhead bin, and sparing nervous parents the anxiety that it will be forgotten on the tarmac or jet bridge.
When not in use, the stroller can be also put away into a backpack or handbag.

The gb Pockit was first unveiled at the ABC Kids Expo in Las Vegas last fall and nabbed the Guinness World Record for smallest stroller in 2014.
It comes equipped with a sunshade and storage basket.
Last year, editors at Consumer Reports released their picks for the best compact strollers for holiday travel, giving top marks to Mountain Buggy Nano, Maclaren Mark II, Graco Snugrider Elite and Nuna PEPP.
The gb Pockit can accommodate children aged 6 months to 4 years, weighing 9 to 17 kg and is now sold at Babies “R” US in the US and retails for US$250 (RM1,037). — AFP-Relaxnews
