TOKYO, Sept 3 — New York City burger institution Shake Shack is to open a new location this winter in Meiji-Jingu Gaien park in Tokyo.
The modern burger stand known for its Angus beef patties and other premium ingredients first announced plans to open a Tokyo shop back in February and has now specified its future location.
Meiji-Jingu Gaien is a popular location among locals and visitors and the Shack there is to build on Shake Shack’s history of “innovative, forward-thinking architecture and design,” according to an announcement.
An interactive art installation will be on display while the Shack is under construction; once open, the spot will feature Shake Shack’s signature items and also plans to work with local vendors to offer Tokyo-specific menu items. — AFP/Relaxnews
