KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 29 ― Volkswagen Malaysia has launched its Cares Programme, with the completion of its pilot session two days ago. The programme is a series of free car workshops for Volkswagen owners on how to take care of their cars, their  occupants, including children, and also includes advice on how to handle emergencies on the road.

The first Volkswagen Cares programme was conducted at Volkswagen Wearnes Sg Besi, attended by a total of 12 Volkswagen owners.

The two-part session consisted of theoretical syllabus covering safety and fuel saving tips, proper child safety steps, what to do in emergency situations as well as an in-depth explanation of the different features available in Volkswagen cars and how they can be fully utilised to benefit the owners. A hands-on demonstration of basic maintenance tips and simple visual self-checks was conducted by trained after-sales technicians.

The Volkswagen Cares programme was developed in efforts to further enhance and boost ownership experience for Volkswagen customers. It is a free quarterly programme which will be initiated and conducted by participating Volkswagen dealers for their customers.

Also commenting on the Volkswagen Cares Programme is Mr Goh Ngin Hong, Dealer Principal of Volkswagen Wearnes Sg Besi “This is a great programme and we see this as a good opportunity for us to interact with our customers and share useful and general tips as well as elaborate on the many features available in their Volkswagen cars. We hope to continue this initiative and run more Volkswagen Cares sessions in the future for our customers.”

Zarilan Ahmad, a Passat owner who attended the workshop said, “It was a good and educational session which I find very useful. I will definitely encourage my friends who are Volkswagen owners to keep an eye out for this workshop.” Pang Shio Hin, a Jetta owner added “In order for the car to serve you, you too need to serve the car. It is a mutual and symbiotic relationship. This workshop is very educational and I learn new things which I never knew before.”
