DECEMBER 20 — On my daily commute to work while radio hopping as usual; I get to come across so many things. 25 minutes is all it takes me daily and sometimes lesser but boy do I get to see a lot of things.

So on my daily ritual; I have to drive across Penjara Sungai Buloh. Nothing special about the place but the thing is, at about 8:15 AM, there will be a few police truck along with its escorts cutting traffic. Now we’re not talking about noon but we’re talking rush hour here.

The trucks are carrying inmates I think and are on their way to court. Combine the trucks with one escort in the front and one in the back and you get no less than 4 of these guys weaving in and out of traffic during rush hour. Can you imagine the crawl at a traffic light and these guys are just barging through?

And the worst part is, these guys are not just weaving in and out of traffic and making people move out of their way, they also go on the opposite lane and barge through oncoming traffic if the crawl is too long on their side and I see this daily.

Everyone has to get up early to get to work. What is so special about these police guys carrying a bunch of convicts to the court? I don’t get what’s so special. Are the convicts the ones that are special or are we talking about the cops?

Take a hint guys, this is a sign of a failing nation when even the police are running late what else can you say? So you have to drive and get the baddies to court by X AM, so what do you do? You have to plan to not be late. You don’t go around mocking the rest of us with your reckless behavior and holier than thou attitude.

Just this morning there was nearly an accident because these trucks and their escorts decided to drive in the opposite lane because the traffic on their side was stopped due to the traffic light. What’s so special about you that you get to do this?

So you don’t want to be late? Here’s a clue; GO EARLY. You don’t make people move around just so you get to go on time. And the sad thing is, we’re talking about our boys in blue here. The ones that are seemingly supposed to be those that are punctual and uphold the law and abide by them but what do they do instead?

And I hope that if the cops decide to change their ways, I hope it’s not transient.  Stop endangering other people just because you’re running late. Thanks.
