JOHOR BARU, Feb 8 ― Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) II drew 2-2 with UiTM FC in the Premier League match at the Pasir Gudang Municipal Council Stadium here, last night.
JDT II opened the scoring after a free kick by Mohd Hasbullah Abu Bakar was headed in by Muhammad Syafik in the 14th minute.
The visitors suffered a second blow in the 30th minute when Nicolas Fernandez ripped apart the UiTM FC defence with a slick pass to Daren Lok who sent it into the net.
Aidil Zafuan's failure to clear the ball from the danger area almost gave the visitors a chance to reduce the deficit in the 37th minute.
However, in the second half, the home side's defence fell apart, when in the 69th minute, NurArif Kamaruddin put JDT II back into the game with their first goal, and Lucas Ramon Pugh found himself unmarked in the penalty area in the final minute to level for the visitors. ― Bernama
