KUALA LUMPUR, August 9 — Rock band Search will be bringing the heat to the Arena of Stars in Genting this August 12 for their Fantasia Bulan Salju concert.
The veteran rockers however encourage their fans to fulfil their duties beforehand at the polls, with state elections involving six states including Kedah, Kelantan, Terengganu, Penang, Selangor and Negeri Sembilan on the same day.
Frontman Datuk Amy or his real name Suhaimi Abdul Rahman said to Berita Harian that in order to further encourage their local fans to vote, they have prepared 'special rewards' for them.
“If it’s possible, we want Search’s fans to fulfil their voting responsibilities before coming to the concert.
“And because of that, we will be rewarding those who had cast their votes.
“Just flash your inked finger as proof you’ve done your duty as a Malaysian citizen at the registration counter,” he said.
Amy added that concertgoers with the ‘inked finger’ will be rewarded on a ‘first-come-first-served’ basis.
More information on the surprise rewards will be shared by the band this Friday.
“So, to all Search’s fans, please cast your votes early during the day for a seamless trip to Genting Highlands later on,” he said.
Amy had said before that the band opted to stick with the date as their fans had bought the tickets and accommodations for the Fantasia Bulan Salju concert.
The concert will see Amy take to stage with Nasir Daud, Hillary Ang and Man Kidal as well as two sessionist drummers in Arthur Kam and 17-year-old Naimi Daimi.
Tickets for the Fantasia Bulan Salju are still available with ticketing price starting from RM128 to RM388.
