KUALA LUMPUR, May 11 — Legendary rock band Search has announced its highly-anticipated concert on Aug 12 at the Arena of Stars, Resorts World Genting.
Organised by MIC Entertainment Group, Konsert Fantasia Bulan Salju (Winter Month’s Fantasia Concert) is inspired by the group’s 1990s monster hit Fantasia Bulan Madu.
The best-looking sexagenarian rockers in town Datuk Amy, Nasir, Hillary Ang and Man Kidal will make history as the first local rock band to perform at the Arena of Stars.
“This concert is the culmination of our career spanning four decades,” said frontman Amy. “We have all experienced so much during this period — both good and bad.
“As a group, this is the core of Search and I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
He added that since the band’s formation in the 1980s, they live to entertain fans around the region with one concert after another.
But they’ve never taken it for granted and see it as their responsibility to keep up with technology to make fans happy.
“Search is not one to turn down a challenge,” said Amy. “We respect our fans and care about the Search legacy too much to say no to rocking out on stage.”
“We can’t wait to meet all our fans amidst the clouds,” he continued. “Besides our signature songs, there will be other surprises.”
Tickets for Konsert Fantasia Bulan Salju will go on sale on May 16 from 12pm onwards.
Prices start from RM128 and go up to RM388 (VIP Fantasia) which excludes processing fee.
All VIP ticket holders are entitled to attend the meet-and-greet as well as a signed poster of the band.
