PETALING JAYA, April 21 — “We’re not fighting, I just want to see the painting she spoke of,” said actress and model Anzalna Nasir after an Instagram follower accused her of plagiarising a painting.

Four days ago, Anzalna shared the first result of her new hobby on her Instagram account, inspired by her recent trip to Japan.

Despite the many comments praising her colourful work of art, the 30-year-old zeroed in on a woman who commented that she had, “seen an artwork exactly the same over Instagram”.

The person, who goes by the name of eisyasuraiya, had tagged a friend in the comment and egged the latter to ask Anzalna to post a video to prove her skills and that she was indeed the person behind the painting. Eisyasuraiya has since made her account private.

Anzalna who claimed to have won a painting competition in Canada, sarcastically said she was mulling over giving the lady a prize of a car or a home facing KLCC as a reward for any proof of the latter’s claims.

“She’s accusing me of stealing what’s not even a very good painting,” said Anzalna.
