SEOUL, Feb 10 — Actor Jung Suk-won was released today after being arrested on charges of drug use.

The actor, husband of singer Baek Ji-young, was arrested on Feb 8 under suspicion of using drugs.

An initial urine test showed a positive reaction for Philopon, and further testing of his hair and urine samples will be done at the National Forensic Service.

Jung has admitted to the charges, his first offence, and he will be charged only for usage. Further investigation will follow including on possible accomplices.

Jung started his showbiz career as a stuntman with the Seoul Action School, later turning his talent to modeling and acting.

He’s most known for his rolls in Rooftop Prince and Haeundae Lovers.

South Korea has strict drug usage laws, with charges being pursued even if a citizen is found to be using drugs outside the country.
