TEL AVIV, Oct 12 — Fahrenheit Far Enough, the 2001 debut album from electronic music project Telefon Tel Aviv, will be reissued December 2nd with eight early versions of some of the album’s final tracks.

Chicago’s Joshua Eustis and Charles Cooper created three studio albums and a remix compilation as Telefon Tel Aviv before Cooper’s unexpected 2009 passing.

Eustis is now back in action under the Telefon Tel Aviv name and the band’s revelatory debut is to receive a new lease of life.

Record label Ghostly International has already posted the 1999 version of title track Fahrenheit Far Enough alongside its final form (soundcloud.com/ghostly/sets/telefon-tel-aviv-fahrenheit) whic, as FACT notes, demonstrates just how drastically the track morphed as Eustis and Cooper developed their sound.

“We just wanted to see if we could make it work,” Eustis had told Ghostly. “We didn’t know. Our aim was to make something we could be proud of.” — AFP/Relaxnews
