LOS ANGELES, Sept 20 — That was quick!
Multiple entertainment sites have reported that Justin Bieber and Sofia Richie have pulled the plug on their six-week coupledom.
Richie is the 18-year-old daughter of crooner Lionel Richie and the younger sister of reality star and erstwhile Paris Hilton sidekick, Nicole.
The pair was first spotted holding hands while on a seaside stroll in Laguna Beach, California, on August 5.
They later travelled to Japan together for Bieber’s Purpose World Tour and vacationed in Mexico for her 18th birthday.
An unnamed source told TMZ that things had started to cool off between Bieber and Richie earlier this month, culminating in their decision to see other people.
But not before Richie gushed to Billboard on September 8 about their “special” relationship.
“Justin is very easy to talk to, and that’s hard to find with people in Los Angeles,” she told the mag in an interview.
The couple’s relationship has not been without its fair share of drama, however.
Bieber came under attack from fans on his Instagram account when documenting his time with Richie. It ultimately led him deleting his account.
His ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez also waded into the fray, slamming the pop star by saying, “If you can’t handle the hate then stop posting pictures of your girlfriend.”
It was reported that Bieber and Gomez who were thought to be on good terms are no longer speaking.
