LOS ANGELES, April 13 — Sony has finally officially revealed the name up the Spider-Man reboot and the title is as was rumoured, Spider-Man: Homecoming.

The studio roped in Tom Holland for the announcement yesterday announced at their presentation during CinemaCon in Las Vegas.

Sony Pictures chief Tom Rothman explained that Spider-Man: Homecoming has a double-meaning for the young superhero (student Peter Parker by day) and for the film studio, back in the comic book movie business.

“Homecoming obviously is a high school reference. This movie shows the enduring conflicts at Peter Parker’s roots, saving the world and getting your algebra homework done at time,” said Rothman.

“Throughout the story Peter is trying to find his true identity and where he fits into the world.”

Joining Holland in the cast are Zendaya Coleman who will play Michelle and Marisa Tomei who stars as Aunt May. Spider-Man: Homecoming will be directed by Jon Watts and it is set for release in the US on July 7, 2017.
