LOS ANGELES, March 30 — Danish photojournalist and filmmaker Nicolai Fuglsig has been slated by producer Jerry Bruckheimer to direct a new Afghanistan war drama, Horse Soldiers for Lionsgate, reports Deadline Hollywood.
The film will be the true story of a team of CIA agents and special forces in Afghanistan after the 9/11 attacks.
They entered the country covertly and pursued the Taliban on horses across the mountains.
After several battles, they captured the strategic city of Mazar-i-Sharif.
But then, they found themselves outnumbered by hundreds of Taliban POWs forcing the men to battle for their lives.
Horse Soldiers will be Nicolai Fuglsig’s feature directing debut. — AFP-relaxnews
