LOS ANGELES, March 24 — The first trailer for Netflix original feature Special Correspondents has been released.
The movie stars Eric Bana as radio journalist Frank, who rather than report from the front line in war-torn Ecuador, instead produces fake reports from the safety of New York with the help of his sound engineer Finch, played by Ricky Gervais.
However their plan starts to go awry when Frank’s rival, played by Benjamin Bratt, reports the pair missing in the dangerous South American war zone. “Everyone is looking for us,” Frank tells Finch in the trailer, “which means we have to go to Ecuador for real.”
The pair soon capture the heart of the nation as worries for their ‘safety’ grows.
The film, which was written and directed by Gervais, also stars Ugly Betty star America Ferrara, Vera Farmiga, Kelly Macdonald and Kevin Pollak.
