LOS ANGELES, Feb 2 — There are updates on when some eagerly awaited movies will start shooting including Avatar 2 and Wolverine 3.

According to My Entertainment World, shooting for Avatar 2 is scheduled to begin this April in New Zealand, while Wolverine 3 also aims to begin production in the same month in New Orleans and New Mexico.

Wolverine 3 is set to hit March 3, 2017, and will see Hugh Jackman reprise his role as the titular mutant. James Cameron will return to direct Avatar 2 though no release date has been set yet.

Transformers 5 will reportedly begin production in May though no locations have been confirmed. Michael Bay will once again direct the film, which will see the return of Mark Wahlberg.  

Fifty Shades Darker will start production later this month in Vancouver, with Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan returning as Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey.  

Ridley Scott’s Alien Covenant is set to start filming this April in Sydney. With a planned release date of October 6, 2017, the movie will start a new trilogy that will eventually connect to the director’s original 1979 sci-fi classic Alien.  

Blade Runner 2 will start shooting in July in the UK and Hungary, although the studio hasn’t set a release date quite yet. The story takes place several decades after the conclusion of the 1982 original that will see Harrison Ford reprise his role as Rick Deckard.

Paramount’s Scarlett Johansson starrer Ghost in the Shell will also start shooting this month in locations such as New Zealand, Hong Kong, Macau and Shanghai, China. It is set for release in March 31, 2017.
