NEW YORK, April 29 — Music mogul Jay-Z will boost his latest business venture Tidal with a performance of the best album cuts from his career.

The star rapper and entrepreneur launched music streaming service Tidal earlier this year and is now gearing up to perform “the show the fans have been asking for,” using the site to promote the event.

According to Tidal’s website, the concert will consist of Jay Z’s album cuts described as “the best ‘B-sides’ of his career” and is set to take place in New York City on May 13. The exact venue has yet to be announced but the performance is expected to be streamed on Tidal.

Tidal users who create a playlist and share it on Twitter with the hashtag #TIDALXJAYZ will be entered into the playlist contest for the chance to win two free tickets to the upcoming concert.

Tidal currently boasts over 25 million tracks as part of its library and 770,000 subscribers but has recently come under fire for a slow start in a highly competitive market. Jay-Z has defended the service and said it is here “for the long haul.” — AFP-Relaxnews
