LOS ANGELES, April 17 — Variety reports that British actor and stand-up comedian Russell Brand has signed on to co-star alongside Nicolas Cage in the upcoming comedy “Army of One” inspired by a true story of one man’s quest to hunt Osama Bin Laden
Directed by Larry Charles, best known for Borat, the film “Army of One” tells the story of a former US prisoner who reputedly tried to travel to the most dangerous parts of Pakistan armed with only a sword, in order to bring the world’s most wanted man to justice.
Although building up a huge profile in both the US and UK, Brand hasn’t graced the big screen since 2013 when he starred as William in “Paradise”, written and directed by Diablo Cody. — AFP-Relaxnews
