HOLLYWOOD, April 4 — A new teaser is out for the third episode of “The Expendables,” led by action movie veteran Sylvester Stallone.

Armoured vehicles, explosions, rock music and massive muscles: this is the mission of a new trailer released by Lionsgate and Millenium Films.

At just over a minute long, this snippet represents the first real chance to see footage from the August film, as well as its extensive cast of characters.

Directorial duties fall to Patrick Hughes of Australian western “Red Hill” and an upcoming Hollywood remake of Indonesian hit “The Raid: Redemption.”

Stallone’s charges include Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, Terry Crews and, of course, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Also in on the action are Harrison Ford, Wesley Snipes, Mel Gibson, Antonio Banderas, Robert Davi and Kelsey Grammer.

A younger generation of actors includes former WBC Welterweight champion boxer Victor Ortiz, “Twilight” star Kellan Lutz, Glen Powell and female MMA fighter Ronda Rousey.

Billed as one last ride, it’s nonetheless difficult to imagine that the series would stop while the going’s good — especially with “Hard Boiled,” “Face/Off” and “Red Cliff” director John Woo thought to be in line for a rumoured fourth outing.
