KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 17 — The National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (NCCIM) has appointed Datuk Ter Leong Yap as its new President, succeeding Datuk Syed Ali Alattas whose term has expired.
Syed Ali held the post for five two-year terms.
In a statement today, NCCIM said Ter, who is also the President of the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM), would beef up NCCIM's zest in representing the business community on the domestic and international fronts.
NCCIM comprises five constituent chambers — the Malay Chamber of Commerce Malaysia; the ACCCIM; the Malaysian Associated Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry; the Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce and Industry; and the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers. — Bernama
